Manufacturing Intern - Software Engineering/Computer Science

The Programme

VNAT Manufacturing team is looking for an undergrad intern to support automation projects to enhance our operation efficiencies.  
 
Scope of work:  
 
Focus on deploying Proof of Concept (PoC) of Data Science/AI use case in Manufacturing, these projects need deep dive into coding and AI but should not be too intensive as for the domain knowledge considering the time bound of internship period.  
 
Below are some examples:

• Computer Vision project that supports tracking and monitoring the WIP (Work in Progress) Rack/ IDM (Indirect Material) rack status, inventory usage and management. 
• IDM purchasing optimizing tool. This is to support manufacturing engineers to make decisions on POR (plan of record) forecast. (Can leverage legacy excel version to build next generation).

Required Skills and Abilities

• Candidate must be a 3rd year or last year student pursuing bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering - automation. 
• Have experience of Computer Vision projects or building GUI apps using Python, C#. 
• Can work for at least 6 months on the project. 
• Able to work onsite for 3-4days per week. 
• Good English communication.
