Verification Engineer Intern

The Programme

In this role, you will join our processor design verification team and gain valuable, hands-on experience in all aspects of the server class CPU development and verification process.  
 
You'll work alongside several seasoned verification and design engineers and get real world experience in what it takes to transform an architecture into complex, fully functional silicon.  
 
A 6-month Co-Op for the fall semester or starting in summer and into fall semester is also an option.

What You Will Do

  • Create micro-architecture verification plans for unit level and top-level verification. 
  • Design and implement test benches and verification collateral like functional coverage monitors, UVM checkers. 
  • Find bugs/defects in the design by debugging tests and analyzing coverage. 
  • Create scripts and other automation capabilities to increase productivity of verification engineers.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Coding experience in C/C++/C#. 
  • Knowledge of languages common to the industry (e.g., Verilog, System Verilog, UVM) is preferred. 
  • Knowledge of scripting using Unix shell, Perl or python and experience in object-oriented programming using any high-level language is preferred. 
  • Knowledge of basic computer architecture concepts and assembly language (ARM, x86 or equivalent). 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and able to work collaboratively in a team. 
  • Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills.

Education:

  • Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering/ Electrical and Electronic Engineering as 4th year Students with good GPA- equal or above 8.0/10.0 or equivalent.
