Software Dev-Ops Engineer Intern - Electrical

The Programme

In this role, you will join our Software Development Test team and gain valuable, hands-on experience in all validation aspects of the server class firmware/software.  
 
You'll work alongside several seasoned test and development engineers and get real world experience in what it takes to design, develop, and execute test plans for state-of-the-art arm64 Cloud Native servers.  
 
A 3-6-month internship starting in summer with extension into fall semester is also an option.

What You Will Do

  • Maintaining and improving existing development tools and infrastructure as well as designing and setting up new. 
  • Maintaining and improving existing Test Automation Framework, working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes. 
  • Ensuring that the development environment is safe and secure against cybersecurity threats and loss of data. 
  • Working with software developers and software test engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended. 
  • Maintaining build systems and scripts for software builds and releases. 
  • Developing metrics and implementing tools to analyze, track and report software quality and productivity.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Self-motivated, strong sense of ownership, excellent team player. 
  • Coursework or experience in programming in C, C++, and scripting languages such as Perl or Python. 
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Innovative mindset focuses on solving problems. 
  • Hands-on knowledge of software development environment and tools such as the use of git, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence, Jira, etc. 
  • Interested in learning and developing Test Automation Framework such as Robot Framework, Test Project, Avocado, etc. 
  • Basic knowledge of Web programming framework such as PHP, Djiango, Cherryp, Flask, etc. 
  • Experience in Linux is a plus. 

Education:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Electrical and Electronic Engineering as 4th year Students with good GPA or equivalent.
