Engineering Trainee

The Programmme

As an Engineering Trainee for Electrification business, you will be responsible for creating or modifying the pre-engineered design of equipment, systems or installations for assignments classified as low complexity by applying standard design concepts.  
 
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be assisting in designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to specification.  
 
This position is based in Bac Ninh, Vietnam.

What You Will Do

• Participating in design reviews and design verification and modifying design as necessary. 
• Supporting in preparation of specific aspects of design assignments to meet the contractual obligations, while adhering to safety and quality. 
• Participating in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools, and processes. Learning from best practices / lessons-learned documentation. 
• Supporting technical risk assessments and implementing resulting actions for one’s projects. 
• Ensuring Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations. 
• Following work plans and cost estimates provided by the project manager and ensuring quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost. 
• Collaborating with the supply chain function and the project manager(s) to meet the contractual requirements. 
• Coordinating with manufacturing and testing functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured/staged and tested.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Graduated with a major in mechanical engineering. 
• Fresh graduate or having around 2 years of experience. 
• Proficiency in using SAP at work is a plus. 
• Having worked at FDI enterprises is an advantage. 
• Proficient in using Solid works and AutoCAD. 
• Having experience in designing electrical panel cabinets is an advantage. Basic English communication.
